It's really tough to balance your own needs and the needs of your significant other. Remember that it is healthy to attend to your needs and being a little selfish is okay.
Get done what you need to get done and check in on her with a container of mazo ball soup from the local deli and a movie to watch. That way, you are being sweet and attentive while not sacrificing all of your time and being resentful.
I went through this too, so I understand. It's hard.
I also understand now the need for *Me* time. I can be very selfish because I've found more and more how important *Me* time is. Even if it involves me doing absolutely nothing. It's MY time, and you can't have it!
It's a tricky balancing act to learn, as I'm sure you can see. When you figure it out, explain it to me ;)
