Aw, creatures! And I agree, people who don't love animals are confusing, (souless?).
It sucks you had to order the book from so far! Is the rest of the series in print there?

people who don't like animals are quite strange. but they probably think the same thing of us. oh well. makes the world interesting. it's okay as long as they aren't actively being mean to any animals. but the neutrality in itself is weird.

i had the choice to order the book new from a bookshop but i've had experiences in the past where you sit around waiting literally for months, so i took matters into my own hands to speed things up as much as i could. it's driving me nuts!!!! fingers crossed it arrives tomorrow :D

I loved this entry, it made me smile! I love random photos.
I don't know how you cope with lizards like that (garden spiders and moths with bodies 2cm in diameter are the biggest species of wildlife I ever see here and they terrify me). I've seen lizards before on holiday in florida, they were all over the place but they were always tiny, like the size of your palm, and I could cope with them but the lizards in your photo look huge, I'd be running away haha. It's not because I dislike animals/creatures, it's just that those lizards look like they'd take your arm off if you got too close, do a crocodile roll on you or something lol. I think it's very fitting that after seeing those lizards your cars milage (kilometreage?) should reach 666.6 lol. And as for frogs falling from ceilings, well, I think that would terrify me completely. However Darcy, complete with her stake, is very very cute.

we get geckos the length of your hand living IN our house. the whole state is infested with them. they're pretty cute pests though. all pink and sticking to the ceiling. the blue tongue lizards in that photo were probably around three quarters of the length of my arm. pretty big but definitely not a danger. hehhe. darcy is so cute. i'm getting a bit too attached to her considering she is not my dog at all.
