Hooray! Although it's a little early to say for sure, Nip/Tuck seems to be back on track from last season's mostly derailed storylines. The writers seem to have fixed most of the problems that plagued Season 3. For example:

The Positive* No more Carver whodunit, which was dragged out waaay too long considering the "well, duh" payoff. I ( Read more... )

Your ongoing enthusiasm for Nip/Tuck has motivated me to watch this season. However, because of my teaching/sleeping schedule, I recorded it, and will watch over the weekend. I'll let you know my reaction then.

It's a guilty pleasure, hardly the best show on TV. The other shows I watch, I tend to buy the DVDs for so I'm always behind and can't really comment about them. Nip/Tuck is such a sensational soap that it's much more fun to watch live and have to be kept in suspense every week.

Yeah, exactly, that whole side of Christian has been done with a lot of subtlety, compared to pretty much every other storyline on the show.

And yeah, I have a feeling they'll pick that up somewhere. Matt has gotten himself into quite a bit of trouble over the years hasn't he?

This was funny, and I've never even seen the show. I do plan to check it out eventually though.

But really I just wanted to take this opportunity to say how much Wolfmother rules.

Glad you liked it. The show has its ups and downs, but it's certainly a lot of fun.

Yeah I have just started listening to them...so far so good! I'll need more of their songs soon.

Ok, I caught up with the season-opening episode the other night. I have seen parts of a couple of episodes over the first few seasons, but have really not followed the series in any serious fashion.

The first thing that impressed me was how easy it was for me, basically a non-viewer, to quickly understand a lot about the characters and their motivations. I obviously don't know all of their complexities, but I felt I got a good handle on the basics.

I really like the depth and nuances of the characters. These are three-dimensional, believeable people, with strengths and flaws and a richness seldom seen on tv. I found myself easily being drawn into these peoples lives and struggles.

The use of both the plastic surgery and sexual elements is pretty bold and effective. Again, a pleasant switch from the blandness of so much on tv.

In short, I'll be watching the rest of the season, without a doubt. Thanks for providing the impetus to check this out.

And listen, Mr. Tease, it's no fair throwing in a post mentioning "naked," "famous," ( ... )

Glad you enjoyed it. Just did my play-by-play of episode 2.

Haha, wasn't sure anybody caught that. Good eye. ;)
