i had to give up watching nip/tuck this season. it has just gotten too weird. since the "mystery" of who the carver was was solved by the end of the last season i felt no need to come back this year.
Well, the show always has stuff coming out of left field...but at least it's a little more grounded this season. Last season there was too much extraneous stuff...Mobsters, the FBI, the Carver, Sean and Christian doing work on dead bodies, Quentin having no penis...too much that added up. Now it's done in moderation, more like Season 2.
Since the next episode is tonight, I'd better get my comments on last week in under the wire.
I also thought the deformed barista project for Sean and boy-toy project for Christian were way too obvious. Fixing the issues they are dealing with by "helping/curing" someone in similar circumstances is a bit too trite.
The Richard Chamberlain character was beyond icky. That's one reason I hope I never win a lottery. I wouldn never want to even be tempted to behave like that
( ... )
Nip/Tuck isn't much of a flirt...it's guaranteed to go all the way. That's why I think they'll probably take Christian to the logical conclusion with a guy rather than back away from the issue like a more, ahem, subtle show might do.
In spite of all the things the show does too aggressively, for some reason it is still so entertaining.
