tour and other things

I am back from my worldly travels. The first week was spent en france, avec le orchestra. Absolutly amazing (userinfo for some tour quotes). When people asked me where Strasbourg was, I always just said "near germany". I never actually realised how near.

On the last night we had no cerfew. So we went to germany to watch the sunrise...

Right next to the hostel there was the appropriatly named "Bridge to Germany". Across a duty free river you arrive in Kel, en Allmange.

Arrive home in the early hours of monday, 6 hours later, depart for Heathrow for the family holiday to america. Everything's so cheap! The outlet shops are the best. Levi's for about £7! Practicaly giving them away. Anyways.

One day we went on a spontainious Whale watch. We'd been on one in Iceland, and they're mainly sitting on a cold, rocking boat in the sea, but we thought what the hey. We saw a humpback whale from a distance. Twas huge! Then set off on a search. About half an hour later the captain says over the microphone "We've got some Risso's Dolphins to the left." Fun enough I thought, Dolphin's are cute. The we heard "Oh My Gawwd those are not risso's dolphins those are KILLER WHALES". Killer Whales!! Sounds cheesy, but I've wanted to see them in the wild since I was 8! So exciting!!

(sorry some are huuugee, my paint shop pro trail ran out)

Coming home today (and yesterday) was a right chore. We wake up in the morning, turn on the tv and find several folied terrorist attempts focusing on flights between usa and uk. Eek we're flying back that day. AOL said to expect a delay of 2 hours. We got to the airport at 1:30pm for normal check in, and find it's a 7 hour delay! And the only hand luggage we were allowed were wallets, passports, medication and glasses. No books, no ipods, nothing. So we were stuck in the airport for 9 1/2 hours with nothing to do. Any magazines we bought had to be thrown away. So boring! Me and nick went for a ride on the San Fransisco Airport's version of the DLR. That filled 10 minutes. Then Dad tried to use one of those payphone/internet things, and it ate his credit card! So he had to buy a phone card and cancel the credit card. That made me laugh for a bit. Am now back in jolly old england, with thoughts of the geography project looming. Bugger
