[A mess of wild, unkempt brown hair can be seen cascaded over a tanned, dirtied and bruised face. The direction of the feed is strange and awkwardly angled; the fragmented remains of green and white armor, and shredded black giving way to an equally bruised and burnt chest appear alarming. The barely distinguishable sand the body rests on and the

A little sigh.*
It's nothing to laugh about Kaburagi-san. You should go see a doctor.

[He pauses, and tries his hand at a pain-free grin.]
This is nothing, I'll be good as new in no time at all!

*What she gives is a firm and simple answer.*
I can tell these things ... Playing the tough guy won't work with me. *It's a lie. But at the same time, she's not naive enough to believe him.*

[A sigh. He all but whines:] I'm not playing the tough guy.

Hey, you okay?

Oh, this? This isn't anything I can't handle. Not a problem!

You sure? Because you don't look so good.

Well, I mean... I've seen better days, but...

I think I'll be okay without one, though.

Kotetsu can't be here, not again. The shock is enough to make Barnaby ignorant of all else, for a moment. He scarcely notices that Kotetsu is clearly hurt, because he's too focused on the fact that Kotetsu is here.]
Kotetsu -
[And then it hits him: his partner is badly injured. His partner needs help. He wonders wildly what happened, but it doesn't matter, because he's already grabbing his jacket and running for the door to the balcony.]
Hold on, old man!
[The recording switches off abruptly.]

This seems almost too much to hope for - and he had hoped, but he's not about to admit that. Losing him had been --
well, he has more important things to think about, thankfully, because he'd rather not think about losing anyone.
He finds the park and is quick to spot Kotetsu, sprinting to his side.]
What - what happened to you? [Crouching at his side, he stares for a moment. Kotetsu is in a worse state than he's ever seen him, and panic seizes him and suddenly his chest is so tight he can barely breathe. But hysterics are hardly going to help, so he sets his jaw and tries to focus on what needs to be done.]
I'm taking you to hospital. [Because he's no medic, and although he's hesitant to go lifting him, he really can't waste time - not ( ... )

[The video cuts out before he can get a word in edgewise, but it's comforting enough knowing that his partner already knows where he is.
He knows that Barnaby won't waste any time getting there, and will be there in no time at all, but that doesn't change the fact that he's drifting off where he sits regardless. If anything, it makes him feel safer, makes him feel like things will be alright after all, and that relaxes him and eases his pain to a surprising degree.
He's hardly aware of when his partner arrives and crouches down next to him, but it couldn't have been more than five minutes, the telltale glow of the Hundred Power still outlining his figure and irises.
The blue does nothing to hide the worry; does nothing to mask it in his voice either. From his slouched position on the swing he's seated on, he tilts his head and offers a warm smile. Unfortunately, it doesn't reach his eyes, which are hardened with a grim, serious glint.]
Now's not the best time to talk about this.

-- you better not scuff the leather. [He says, for the sake of it more than anything else. What's important is getting Kotetsu to help - proper help. Which isn't going to happen here. Which is why Kotetsu's argument earns him a confused stare, something which asks, quite plainly, are you out of your stupid mind old man did you fall and hit your head?
He keeps the words to himself though, shaking his head.] You need a doctor. Don't be stupid. [His brow furrows at the mention of Judge Petrov but he looks up for the other man anyway, already beginning to stand with Kotetsu in his arms.]
