Kotetsu --

[The name comes in a rush, Barnaby's voice hurried, tense - ]

Are you watching what happened in the dreamscape?

[But there's no time for this, apparently, his footsteps loud over the call.] There's been an attack. Keep an eye out on your side, old man!

[And the beeping of his phone wakes him from his nap. Yes, he was having a nap. On the couch.

He only has a very vague idea of everything that's happened thus far surrounding the dreamscape, all of it having been a little too complicated for his tastes. He would've asked his partner for a summary eventually, but it looks like he'll be getting that now.

He responds a little drowsily.]

Watching what? [A yawn.] What are you...

[And then his mind processes the word "attack" before anything else, and he's suddenly alert.]

Attack?! Are you hurt? [The sound of rustling can be heard, as he scurries around the room.] Tell me where you are, I'm coming!

[There's a note of surprise, as if he wasn't really expecting a response. But it's quickly turned into a grunt, part frustration, part exertion.] No good - we're trapped here.

[A rush of movement and things quiet a little. Barnaby's voice is clipped and urgent, but maintains his usual calm.]

Don't you remember hearing about being shown Somni's history? [He doesn't wait for an answer, because Kotetsu probably didn't pay it much attention.] I went to take a look. Someone calling herself Nitiri showed up, and now we're trapped here.

If we can't get out, I doubt any of you can get in. You need to be alert on that side. I'm going to prioritize on finding Nitiri and finding an exit.
