8 Things I've Learned from Reading Watchmen Fic Over the Past 24 Hours or So

 1) Rorschach is at least infatuated with Dan. At least. And this isn't even necessarily a fanfiction thing alone. The lingering handshake says a lot about their relationship.

2) Rorschach is everyone's favorite. Fans and characters alike. He is the Wolverine of the Watchmen universe.

/edit/ whoops, this was supposed to be under a cut, so now it is )

I always feel weird because Rorsach isn't my favourite. Dan and The Comedian always battle it out for that title.

I'm a bit confused about my love for Rorschach, to be honest, since most of the time I'm off in my own corner of the fandom talking about a specific character or pairing I like (although I'm pretty open to anything) and I generally avoid the canon/most popular fan pairings. Like Doctor Who...I really don't care for Rose. As I've found, most people who casually watch the show liked Rose better, whereas the rabid superfans prefer Martha or Donna or just fangirl over the Doctor and ignore everyone else ( ... )

Adrian is totally my favorite

...I feel pretty awkward about that, lol. But I'm a psych major, you know, I analyze people for fun. And he's pretty interesting in that respect XD

And in response to #8, I'd say it's because the Comedian is more chaotic. Adrian and Rorschach have principles. Whether or not they're moral is up for debate, but they're principles nonetheless. The Comedian seems to lack that. He just kind of does stuff for the hell of it

I'm not sure if this book/movie is more interesting from a psychological or philosophical aspect. Someone linked to a book about Watchmen and philosophy and I might just buy it. =P *nerd*

Yeah...It's mostly that I don't get the Comedian, I guess. Everyone who talks about him says he "knew the big joke" or something, but...what is it? That life is pointless? So why did he fight so hard to stay alive? I don't get it.
