A train leaves New York for Boston. Five minutes later another train leaves Boston for New York, at double the speed. Which train will be closer to New York when they encounter?

Thats not the answer. Both the trains are at the same place when they encounter. So there is no question of which one is closer!

Yeah, I shouldn't have given the answer there. Sid had got it too and was just pulling my leg when he gave the wrong answer.. but I thought otherwise and replied.. and I realised that once you saw the comments page, the lj-cut is also exposed. So went ahead and commented anyways..
