Before your post yesterday (?), I had NEVER heard of Florence + the Machine. THANK YOU SO MUCH, now I am on youtube chasing songs and not writing my final paper/packing to go home. God, I haven't even heard it yet and I'm in love with the lyrics already.
I know a lot of these artists but not the songs (SO EXCITED to hear Rufus' The Consort, that is my favourite relationship type ever and he wrote a SONG ABOUT IT?! Joyful joyful, that's me right now) but before I go listen obsessively I just have to say that Fake Plastic Trees for Roger/Katherine is INSPIRED. (Is she really Katherine with a K? Anne would approve...it is so much more alluring.)
Oh! ALSO - the art for Patrick Wolf's Overture is so beautiful and perfect. That smile...is it really dorky that I love that even Patrick Wolf's name is appropriate to the mix? 'Cause Dominic is totally wolfish, I don't even know why exactly, but he lopes along at her side, and there's all that stuff about biting the hand that feeds into his betrayal of her (EXCEPT NOT REALLY I'm crazy ignore

1. I am so, so honored -- yes, honored! -- to have brought Florence + The Machine into your life!! Ever since I discovered her like a year ago, her songs have commanded my LIFE. Her album is perfectest perfection, matched by nothing!! Just in case you are a-hankering for recommendations (... er, not that anyone should ever "a-hanker." I don't know, sometimes I am randomly a Disney cowboy? Is there even such thing as a Disney cowboy?): my very very favourites are Drumming Song, Howl, Blinding, Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up), and Hardest of Hearts -- and, er, okay, all the rest of them. Sheee is amazing!!
THE CONSORT IS AMAZING! It's just so dreamy and epic. And for awhile, I tended to associate it with Arthur/Morgana for no reason in particular other than "Together, we'll wreak havoc on the throne" and then I had the DeWitt/Dominic epiphany and IT MADE MY BRAIN SO VERY HAPPY.
Fake Plastic Trees was totally a last-minute addition! I actually just discovered that song (I know, right??) because a friend put it on a mix for me, and somehow
