I really can't get over how perfectly timed this is. All the contradictions within the song, and by extension, within the relationship, are captured in the cuts in a way that's amazing and almost too painful to watch. I love the way you used the Lilah-as-Fred scene, especially.
Thank you so much. ♥ AUGH, I love these guys and their epic storyline; after being accustomed to the scarce amount of canon that comes with D/D vidding, this was like a mind-blowing cornucopia of scenes! (Yep, I just casually said cornucopia. It's a thing.) I think there is so much elegance to the way this whole plot is constructed, and how Lilah kinda ends up this weird reflection of where Wesley began. Matching neck scars! Their first scene involves her taunting him with talk of hell, their last scene involves him trying to release her from hell, and written documents are of central importance in both conversations! Blah blah blah.
... God, I miss school a lot. Even TV isn't safe from my English majoring tendencies. But the writers did such atypically good work there; I don't think I'm used to television ships that are so well-written and nicely contained and, just, what even happened with these guys! Most unexpectedly brilliant ship ever.
Let's pretend this comment is dainty & chalk full of non-crazy.
STEPHANIE ROMANOV'S FACE THOUGH. *sob* Beautifully rendered here.
Also, since we have been mutually stalking each other and your W/L goods keep popping up on my flist, I'm just going to go on ahead and add you now, if this is acceptable.
Oh, man, what a brilliant fit between song and pairing. All the ambiguities and the complexities of their interaction, plus the plaintiveness of the song. Well-judged!
