Help stop child abuse with passing of Senate Bill 1738!

Everyday, more and more sexual predators are abusing children, videotaping it, and actually trading these videos online. Yes, people are really this sick. And they are now abusing children as young as 3 weeks old. This issue is so so so important and right

I think it's great that you're doing this and I absolutely agree with what you've said. What those people do is really sick and knowing as much as I do about them has disgusted me for a long, long time.

I'm going to e-mail the senator for my state once Oprah's website starts working again... it says it's temporarily unavailable. :(

So, I got a reply back from Senator Reid (NV) and he added this saying that S.1738 was just passed by the senate just two days ago:

I am pleased to inform you that S.1738 passed the Senate by unanimous consent on September 26, 2008. As part of this effort, we were able to pass three additional bills which will assist law enforcement's efforts to investigate and prosecute people trafficking in child pornography: the SAFE Act of 2007, which places a higher standard on internet service providers to report child pornography websites; and the Effective Child Pornography Prosecution Act and the Enhancing the Effective Prosecution of Child Pornography Act, both of which allow for more effective prosecution of individuals possessing and viewing child pornography by closing legal loopholes. These bills have been referred to the House of Representatives for approval.

I'm not sure if you already knew this but I thought I'd let you know! :)
