I Hate People

People on food stamps should not be allowed to use the same checkout lines as everyone else. Yeah, agreed about the kids thing. At my ex gf's apartment complex, there were always kids running, biking or whatever around the parking lot, and apparently their parents never told them it's not a great idea to come shooting out from in between parked cars right into the road.

Fun fact: this was also the parking lot with a truck sitting in a space on cement blocks. And the rusted out Astrovan with shiny new spinners.

Where you failed, zebe succeeded.

We were walking down Castro in Mountain View last night when a child appeared directly in Matt's path. I'm not quite sure how to describe the sound the child made when it fell to the power and might of Swinging Adult Legs™ - some combination of a thud, smack, and thwap, perhaps - but it was oh so satisfying.

Much to my dismay, neither child nor parent were particularly perturbed by the experience. With dessert obtained a few moments later, my dissappointment faded in a whirlwind of creamy sugary goodness. Bless you, gelato man, wherever you are.

A truly brilliant narrative! I only wish I was there to observe the Swinging Adult Legs™ in full effect myself. We'll have to borrow a neighborhood kid to recreate this event.
