Ooh! I've always considered myself too out o shape to do parkour, but after that article, I'm considering what other forms of harmonious movement I could do while getting in shape. I think I'll have to swing by one of their meetings and see what's up - possibly in conjunction with checking out the akido dojo mentioned below.

Because really, akido and parkour share a lot of functional similarities. Hrm...

I trained at Tai Yim Hung Fut in Kensington, and I was pretty happy with it.

If your open to Japanese martial arts, I know there are some respected aikido dojo up your way. If you were interested in checking them out, I'll send you recommendations.

As I said in response to dean, above, I'll have to check this out. And I'll have to consider how parkour and akido could work together - they seem like they'd have a lot of common elements, conceptually.
