My quick summary of the debates: McCain came out pretty strong in the first 30 minutes, leaving Obama on the defensive... until McCain finally walked onto a large, cartoon "X" that had been left on the ground (in the form of comments about Ayers and ACORN). WOW. That's some mailer. The media's highlighting of the racism at the rallies has been everywhere that I look, which is crazy. I saw some guy who was so so so proud of himself for making an Obama sock monkey doll. Seriously dude!?! Ugh. On the other hand, I saw an interview with all of these racists that were still going to vote for him because they would rather have someone who "was associated with a terrorist group" than McCain. o_O

I think I saw that same article! It's interesting to see that what happens when racists have to choose between their racism and their economic concerns.

I mean, hatred of minorities is nice* and all, but it doesn't put food on the table for their families!

You win some, you lose some? O_o That's really strange.

Also the blinking thing - hahhah! Last night one of the things I commented on was how creepy it was how OFTEN McCain blinked! It was like he could earn money based on how many times he blinked. O_o

For a minute or so i said"blink" quietly every time he blinked. I don't believe he said a single word that wasn't obscured by my voice doing that.

To be fair, the lights are bright, and everybody blinks more when in front of bright lights. Also older folks tend to have drier eyes, so i wonder how much it really means. (Yeah, all things being equal, liars apparently do blink more, but there must be other factors.) But that doesn't change the audience's subconscious reaction, which it sounds like is to distrust the heavier blinker.

Heehee! He's a heavy blinker! He's blunk!
