get some ;D
And it is totally adorable that Jensen is getting all clucky already imagining J2 baby dragons. And I think that having Jensen not approach Jared and making his interest known before now makes sense as to how you've written his character. Responsibility towards the Flight seems to very important for Dragon!jensen, as well as trying to make things as good for jared as possible given the situation. Jensen doesn't want to hurt Jared, and trying to mate with Jared or even indicating his interest towards Jared before he had a heat could make things very hard for Jared- in Jensen's mind Jared is better off not knowing about how much Jensen wants him unless they are in a position where they could actually mate with each other.
Awesome story- really looking forwards to everything coming up.

i'm so glad you got all of that out of this chapter. this was really meant to establish jensen's motivations and character, and seeing that someone got that is a big relief for me :)
thank you very much!

Jensen daydreaming about dragon-domesticity with Jared was incredibly sweet. Especially because Jensen has clearly been patiently waiting for Jared for years, but not pining away for him. Insecure-Jared is a great combination of angst masked with stoicism, it's really easy (and sad) to see how he could feel that way without all the other dragons being able to see what poor self-esteem he has.
The world building is absolutely phenomenal. Love, love, love how the characters come across as people but not humans, if that makes sense.
Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that I love your fic and am eager to read your next update. :)

i completely understand what you mean about being people but not humans, because that's exactly what i was going for. the dragons are completely sentient individuals with distinct personalities and places in their society, just like humans. but they live by different codes, laws, social norms, etc. so, yes, i completely understand what you mean, and i'm ecstatic that you get that from my fic.
thank you so much! i'm so glad you like the story ♥
