I was so happy to see this chapter! I literally just reread this story yesterday.

I'm glad Jared's getting the affection he craves; hopefully he'll stop feeling so insecure as time goes on? Him only keeping his mother's blanket was sweet but sad.

I do have two questions, though (although I suppose they're kind of the same): how long does it take for a pregnant dragon to lay his egg(s), and then how long for it to hatch?

Haha, well, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

The gestation period is traditionally from Beltane (May 1) to Mabon (Sept 21-24), so almost five months in the womb, and then the hatchlings hatch on Samhain (Oct 31-Nov 1), so a little over a month outside. All together, that's about six months :)

You're Jared is just killing me. The poor boy is so beaten down in his head. Jensen has a lot of building back up to do and I'm sure he doesn't even know it yet. To him Jared is perfect. If only Jared knew that too.
