So, I totally just realized that I've been logged out of Lj since the first, so I haven't been seeing any of the friends-locked posts since then. Oops! O:o ( Read more... )

The new macbooks have more advanced videocards, so they (unlike mine) can play Spore. And, of course, they have a built in webcam.

I've had mine for about two years and I haven't had a complaint yet.

I just bought an MSI Wind: http://www.msimobile.com/windhome.aspx. Ben highly recommended it and has been following their product for sometime. It has a webcam and would be able to play Spore. I love it! It's small but it's a wider screen and actually decently sized keyboard. I love it. :-D

And yay Gilmore Girls!

I won't lie, my Vote is for Dell. they are having an AMAZING sale RIGHT NOW! seriously, everyday the deals change! tomorrow the one i want is going on sale, the dell XPS which is their cheaper gaming laptop. As I've learned through my research this semester, make sure your new laptop has a dedicated graphics card.

Babies everywhere!!!!!!

I have a mac, I like it a lot, if you can afford it, it'll play spore and it does video great. Anyhoo, if you're gonna get a macbook, try to get it through a school or other education thing or something so you can get the discount.

And *hugs!*

To be specific, I have the spore demo (creature creator) on here and it runs fine. And the new macbooks are just more powerful than mine anyway.

I would follow suit with the Macbook recommendation. If you look around (eBay, Craigslist, and the like) you can get them for a fairly reasonable price (I got mine for $600) and they're pretty solid machines. They have a webcam, according to Marielle can play Spore, and overall are pretty fantastic machines. Nice and portable, too. Apple sometimes has them on their site refurbished with the same warranty as new for as little as $799, so I'd say keep an eye out for that.http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/specialdeals/mac?mco=MTMzNTY

Although I would make sure with Marielle which ones play Spore, as I'm no Sporite m'self.
