The Dream is taking shape...

A few posts back I said that my dream would be to go to the California Culinary Academy and eventually open a small restaurant. Well, I jumped off the fence and am actually on my way (with wobbly knees) toward starting a home based catering business. Yea for me! I will be running the business out of my house and will be serving as a private chef

That is fabulous!! Congratulations! =)
I stuck my neck out 6 years ago and am still happily self-employed. Anything is possible if you are willing to try. I'm sure you will do really well. I only wish I could be one of your guinea pigs.

Thank you very much for the vote of confidence. I'm doing it the slow way by keeping my regular job and doing the private chef thing on evenings and weekends. I'm not bold enough, or independently wealthy (still waiting for ONE of my friends to hit the lotto) so this should work for me. If I do reach the point where I think I can do it full time, that will be the day I pop the cork on some bubbly and then really freak out.
