If you don't have Glenturret left, there's one for sale (empty) on ebay this week, I notice. (Obviously donations are best of all!) 1p + 2.99 shipping.
Firstly, my very boozy brother and sister in law are arriving soon for a week’s holiday. I’m thinking of popping in to the whisky shop on the Royal Mile to pick up something. Happy to pick up something on the list. If you had to pick one for me to buy and drink over the next fortnight which would it be?
Secondly, could you arrange with the EasterCon venue for them to buy the missing bottles and for people to underwrite them? Either a particular bottle or generally.
The hotel could run a promotion on the Iain M Banks Memorial Malts.
I’m thinking you’re down to the last ten bottles or so. £30-£40 a bottle is about £350.
(For the record, I’d happily underwrite a bottle.)

courtesy of Cadenhead Whisky on the Royal Mile who remember IMB coming in to their shop for research purposes when writing Raw Spirit.

My daughter is in Edinburgh that week, also my sister so I may not be able to duck out for a day trip to Glasgow.
I think Patrick Hadfield is going and has some bottles for you. So, if I’m not able to come to Eastercon I’ll get the bottles to him for him to take.
Worst case, I’ll pop over on the train to deliver them.
Next stage is to try some of the other whisky retailers and specialist whisky bars on my way home.
