Oh there are all sorts of fun ideas i'm getting from you and other people who have answered this. Send up a firework containing the ashes? Turn remains into a sheet of "paper" and fold it into an "airplane" to cast from a mountain cliff? I wouldn't be offended (even if i were still conscious in the spirit of things) if one of my friends or family were to come up with something creative and fun.
