a.k.a. The Voyage Home Free Willy!

Torchwood 3 and the superhero relationship syndromeAs T3's clearly demonstrates, it's pretty lonely being a hero. Any classic comic book superhero can tell you that ( Read more... )

You are SO right. Jack is walking a very thin line here, between hero and human, between immortal and man. I think his feelings for Gwen are really driven by this- the desire to have someone normal in their midst, and the desire for someone he loves to hold on to that sense of normalcy he will never have himself.

I saw the manatee as a metaphor for his team, for everything he has loved, still loves, and stands to lose. It is weird in the context of his long standing all aliens=bad, faster pussy cat, kill kill! But. This alien SO clearly was an innocent. And even Jack gets tired of killing, like he said to Rhys.

Also interesting was Ianto picking up the badass slack- being the voice of reason, asking how the hell they were gonna care for this huge thing, and then stunning that guy in the HEAD. I love this Ianto. Hard. And I feel like he's looking good because he's shagging Jack, but underneath, he's not as OK as he seems. He still has so much hidden, so much we still don't know.

Are you kidding? Welcome to fandom. *G*

I saw the theory that Jack related to the whale somewhere else too. Yes. I like that. Poor Jack.

Ianto hasn't had time to process *anything* and he's gone from Jack killing Lisa to bedding Jack awfully fast. Methinks something upstairs is a wee bit twisted. I love that in a boy.

It was fodian who mentioned Gwen's humanity slipping. I think she's right.

Nice to meet you, btw.
