Disdain for Formal Education

Classroom learning is such a crappy way to learn. Sit down, shut up, let me tell you the facts (very slowly). I've learned more from Wikipedia and quicker than I ever have at school. I don't focus on the details, I get right to the point- like they teach in Europe.

I never really cared for classroom learning either for the same reasons.

It's really built for people who really don't care for learning.

I've had difficulty with the classroom structure for a long time. At this point I would rather study something on my own time and to my own satisfaction. Otherwise it seems like a chore and I start to hate it.

Yeah, I'm an independent learner, but I love discussion. I believe it helps solidify ideas and concepts and prevent misconceptions. But Americans don't care so much for critical thinking, so I'd rather just learn things with people who do care. I can rant about this (it's one of my favorite subjects), but I know that I have to go there, get that piece of paper (diploma) ect. Aye, well, gotta do what I gotta do.
