Last frost date for 2009 is predicted to be April 17th, Rainer's b-day :)  Maybe we'll plant something for him on his birthday this year.  He helped me plants seeds in little peat moss pellets.  We have basil, sweet peppers, tomatoes, moonflowers, and morning glories so far.  The rosemary, peas, cucumber, carrots and beets all have to wait a bit

Mammy, John's great grandmother is finally, maybe getting the care she needs.  I had been getting really mad because her power of attorney fellow is the one who stands to inherit all her money, and his conflict of interest seemed to be preventing them from spending her money on her.  But Renee made enough of a stink apparently, after at least a ( Read more... )

Poor Sophia is never going to learn to walk.  I can't put her down.  She's much too sweet.
I gave Rainer a haircut this morning.   Grandma Nay came over and we all went to the yummy Indian buffet on 96th St.  Oh, it had been too long!

I made christmas presents for people today!  I actually remembered to do it early this year.  Rainer is helping make some ornaments, too.  He painted some cardboard birds and shapes today and put feathers and eyeballs on them :)  Got to go to bed.

I'm attempting to sew a costume for Rainer...a puppy costume, using a pattern for the first time ever.  Patterns make thngs take an awfully long time, from what I can tell.  I usually wing it.  We'll see how it goes.  And we're also having an impromptu party tomorrow since everyone wanted to come see the kids on Halloween.  No pressure to make ( Read more... )
