There is no way, in a million years, I would ever want to be involved or associated with anything like that. I have close family who are fuck-off rich (200 million, maybe?) and they don't seem or act like it and neither do their kids. They have nice, big houses - several of them - and expensive cars but absolutely nothing ostentatious. I think it's in very bad taste. If I had a lot of money, I'd have a super-well-designed SMALL place, or a big old rambling place. Displays of money make me sick.

oh no, he was lovely. i met him and he was 30 or so (well done to achieve so much, so young) and he didn't seem show-y or anything. obviously, his purchases suggest otherwise, but he wasn't going on about it. he didn't seem at all snobbish and there were all types of people there, which i guess shows some of his character. there were just a lot of 'high society' there too, but a lot of them were rude, rich brats.

That degree of fabulousity seems freakin' exhausting. But I bet it was fun as hell!

in the beginning, no. since i felt like a fat cow and totally alone, but within half an hour, some alcohol and finding the few of my friends that were there, a complete riot. and yes, very exhausting.
