Thing 2 comes up to me and asks "Mom, did I bwush my teeth weally weally good?" So I inspect her teeth, clasp my hands together, and say "Oh wow, you did an awesome job on your teeth! I'm so impressed

Odds are, at some point she asked you for something, and you had her brush her teeth first. :) She was making a pre-emtive (sp?) strike :)
