Summary: Luhan's always been happy to whisper translations into Minseok's ear but now Minseok is a little worried he may be losing his mind.

Minseok knew that he really just had to keep smiling and nodding at what the presenter was saying, even though he really had no idea what was going on. Jongdae seemed to be doing the same beside him, but then Jongdae had always been a lot more convincing at it, with his mild-mannered smile.

He really didn't mind going on the Chinese interviews and game-shows. Mostly they were fun and the presenters were pretty understanding when it came to the language barrier. Occasionally they'd poke fun at his or Jongdae's lack of understanding, but it was generally pretty harmless stuff, and besides Luhan always seemed to be pretty willing to help translate.

Minseok was very grateful to him for that; he knew it probably got frustrating since Minseok had to ask him about pretty much every other sentence. Today especially, Luhan seemed to be in a bit of a mood. He was smiling politely but Minseok had been around him enough to know when it was a genuine smile and when he just wanted things to be over.

Because of this, he was reluctant to ask anything of Luhan today and when the presenter said something involving his stage name that made the rest of the members laugh, Minseok simply exchanged a confused glance with Jongdae who only shot him back that infuriatingly mellow smile. Because of the little exchange he also managed to miss what the translator said and looked around in confusion.

'They commented on you spacing out. Focus.' he started at the sudden puff of warm breath against his ear and blinked at Luhan who had leaned in close to whisper to him in Korean. The other boy smiled and this, at least, was a smile Minseok recognised as a real one. He returned it with one of his own as he nodded.

They were standing in a row and as usual Luhan stuck close by him. Minseok was grateful to him for that, he always felt a little less lost when he had the other to rely on. He continued to listen attentively to the dialogue between the interviewer and the members even though he could only pick up a fraction of what was being said.

When another joke was made that even made even Wu Fan snort in derision, he looked helplessly over at Luhan again who was chuckling, and leaned in once more to explain what was going on, steadying himself with a hand pressed against Minseok's lower back. Even when he pulled back again from whispering, his hand lingered there for a moment, his eyes fixed on Minseok's face and it was only when the older boy gave him a questioning look that his lashes fluttered uncertainly for a moment before he turned away again.

Minseok wondered if there was something wrong with Luhan today, he seemed distracted or maybe even upset, he couldn't really tell. He wasn't great at reading people and it was especially difficult when it came to Luhan, who would only show what he wanted people to know and was way too good at hiding everything else.

Yixing was speaking now, his face as earnest and serious as always and the longer his answer went on the more fidgety Minseok became.

'What's he saying?' he leaned over to whisper against Luhan's ear and the other stiffened a little, glancing at him.

Leaning in even closer than he had before-Minseok almost shied away a little-Luhan's voice was low as he murmured against Minseok's ear. 'You know, your ass looks really good in those pants, I'll have to thank coordi-noona later.'

Minseok was already halfway through the nod of understanding he usually did when Luhan explained things to him, before the words actually properly processed in his head and his eyes widened as he stared at the other, wondering if he had heard correctly. Luhan had already pulled away at that point and wasn't even looking at him now, focusing again on the MC and nodding along in agreement to what was being said. Minseok realised his mouth was hanging open and he hurriedly closed it.

Feeling even more lost than usual at this point and wondering if he'd imagined what he thought Luhan had said, Minseok had no idea what to do with himself. The other boy was all wide-eyed innocence again and he really couldn't imagine that he'd say something like that.

They were being asked about food again, what food they'd gotten to eat while they were staying in China and which dishes were their favourite. Minseok had answered this question enough times but due to his sudden confusion as to what was going on he missed what was said and looked around again for the translator.

But Luhan was already leaning into him again and this time there was a very deliberate brush of lips against ear which Minseok knew he'd play off as accidental in front of the cameras. 'They want to know what sort of food you've enjoyed here, also I think I'd really like to slip my hands into those pants of yours and give a good firm squeeze sometime, baozi.'

'Luhan, what are you asking Xiumin?' the presenter questioned and the other turned his angelic smile in her direction.

'I just explained the question. Xiumin is a bit tired today, so he's having a little bit of difficulty.'

There were soft 'ahh's of understanding all around but Wu Fan shot them a suspicious look. Luhan simply turned his suddenly all-too-radiant smile on their leader which, while not alleviating any of that suspicion was enough to make Wu Fan look away with a scowl.

Minseok threw up a silent prayer of thanks for the BB cream the stylists had lathered onto his face because from the heat in his cheeks he was certain he had gone very, very red. Luhan was answering the question for him now too, which was good since his mouth had gone dry and he didn't think he would have been able to coax any words out at that point. He knew he was staring at Luhan, knew he should be focusing on the MC instead but the other's words echoed through his mind.

This seemed to be a game Luhan had become suddenly very fond of because the moment another question had been asked that Minseok missed-because he was still trying to wrap his head around whether or not his imagination was running away with him-Luhan leaned in once again.

'They want to know what sights you'd like to see in the city. Me? I'd like to see you stripped bare on my hotel room bed... you think we can arrange that with manager-hyung?' He turned in such a way that it was well-hidden from the cameras when he let his tongue dart out to trace the shell of Minseok's ear.

Minseok's mind reeled but he managed to keep enough control to stand very, very still so as not to cause any commotion he'd have to explain later. Luhan's tone was the same as he would have had simply talking about the weather; light and with that cheerful confidence he wore so easily. This time when he drew back he didn't look back to the MC right away but held Minseok's gaze with hooded eyes and a smile that hinted at something very different to Luhan's usual airy innocence.

Minseok swallowed thickly and faced forward, unable to keep his gaze locked with Luhan's any longer. His hands were clasped tightly together in front of him and he felt uncomfortably warm all over, doing his best not to let Luhan's words bring images into his head damn it, too late! He shifted uncomfortably and wondered how much longer the interview was going to go for because the mental images he was getting were making him react in a way he really didn't need when he was being recorded for national television. He shifted his clasped hands a little to cover up the growing tent in his suddenly far-too-tight pants.

He almost let out a long sigh of relief when the director called for a break. The other members visibly relaxed, stretching a little and talking amongst themselves while Minseok quickly excused himself and hurried off to the bathroom.

It was there that Luhan cornered him.

'Something wrong?' he asked with a chuckle that made it clear he knew perfectly well what was wrong.

'What do you think you're doing?' Minseok thought he sounded a bit more indignant than he would have liked, his voice wavering a little as he still didn't quite know what to make of what had just happened out on set. 'Luhan you can't just... why would you...'

Luhan pouted a little and shrugged. 'You're pretty terrible at picking up on subtle hints so I decided to be a bit more forward with you for a change.'

'What are you-'

'Hyung~' Luhan interrupted, saying it in a lilting, sing-song tone that didn't match the look in his eyes. 'I really don't understand how you can be so ignorant. I'm really not subtle about it; the fans have noticed, why haven't you?'

'The fans notice every little thing, including things that aren't there.' Minseok protested. He realised how close Luhan was standing suddenly and, with the bathroom wall at his back, he didn't have anywhere to escape to. At the same time he wasn't entirely convinced he wanted to escape... the echoes of Luhan's whispers continued to tease him.

Luhan bit his lip as he regarded Minseok for a moment. 'I wonder if you realise,' he murmured. 'How hard it is for me to keep my face steady when you whisper to me. When you lean in, so close...' he leaned in as if to prove his point, his lips close to Minseok's ear again as he continued in a soft whisper. '...and you might just be asking a question but you're so close and your breath against my skin drives my imagination crazy... and you wonder why I'd say those things?'

Minseok realised he was holding his breath and he gave a tiny nod.

'I'm trying to stir you up, sure... but it's all true as well, you know.' Luhan still wasn't drawing back, his cheek lightly pressed to Minseok's as he continued to speak in a low, quiet tone barely above a whisper. 'I think about you a lot. You've taken up permanent residency in my imagination, hyung, sometimes when I'm in the shower and I...' he trailed off and then chuckled, Minseok shivering as the words and the laughter sent tingles straight down to his groin. He felt a little light-headed.

He outright groaned when Luhan palmed him through the front of his pants. The other's words had been enough to send most of the blood rushing from his head down to his crotch already but now his pants were beginning to feel unbearably tight as he involuntarily pressed forward into Luhan's touch.

'I wasn't joking about the hotel room.' Luhan murmured. 'I'd really like to try and organise that... if that's alright with you.' Luhan's breathing was slightly erratic, warm and moist against Minseok's cheek. His hand had moved to the older boy's hip instead and Minseok whined slightly at the neglected ache between his legs, trying to move forward to press his hips against Luhan's.

But Luhan, damn him, was moving back. His cheeks were flushed and his eyes bright and he was wearing that smile that Minseok knew meant he was up to no good-that smile had been directed at him so much lately, he realised-and Minseok was staring at him in disbelief because there was no way Luhan was just going to leave him hanging like this...

...was there?

'Payback for you plaguing my fantasies all the time, baozi.' the younger boy said, confirming Minseok's fears. 'We can pick this up again later, back at the hotel... you'd better make yourself presentable really quickly because they're going to need us back on set in a few minutes.' he winked.

'Luhan don't you dare-'

'Sorry hyung! Maybe you'll pay more attention in interviews from now on.' Laughing, Luhan slipped out of the bathroom, leaving a very flustered Minseok behind.

It would be a very long time before he dared ask Luhan for help with translations during interviews again.
