last year i wrote to Modern Drummer magazine on a whim and asked if i could freelance. They said ok and asked for an outline. I sent them my outline and they didn't get back to me. Also, an editor from the Metro came to my class and said they wanted a student columnist and i said i'd dot it. once again, send them my outline...never got back to me...i must make shitty story outlines.
anyhow. i was talking to a prof here that used to write for the band Rush (so jealous) and i said that maybe i was being too hopeful on writing for a magazine so soon. She said i wsn't being too hopeful but that i was giving up too easily!
so. i'm writing another shitty outline. hopefully not as shitty.
Yeah? :)

As for rejection slips, I'm alright with the idea of recieving them. I'm actually starting a healthy collection! And I promise, I won't give up. I'm still writing and still sending stuff out, but I do realize that a lot of these magazines are very, VERY professional, and I am not. Doesn't stop me from sending them stuff though! ^_^
*HUGS* Thanks so much for the encouragement, everyone really needs that!
(And let me know when you hit it big in the music magazine market, I want to start a healthy collection of your work, too! ^_^ Keep up the good fight!!)

And don't worry--the rejections sting a little, but I'm so used to them now it doesn't make much of an impression on my stubborn head. I'm kinda like a clown fish in a sea anemone!! ^_^
