Coming to Terms

I guess it's about time I came to terms with my inability whatsoever to balance my time. I thought that if I took two seemingly "Easy A" classes, I'd be able to balance my work schedule with everything else. Now, I realize that one of said "Easy A" classes has become the hardest class I have...and took way too much of my time this semester. In ( Read more... )

I know how you feel about the expectations. Sadly, one of the reasons I decided to go into nursing was because my dad did nothing but bitch at me about what I was going to school for. "You need to get a job with full-time hours!!! You need to get a job with health benefits!!!! Blah blah blah in the cold-hard reality blah blah blah!!!!!"

Ugh. Yeah, if people keep pressuring you, just repeat the mantra, "Fuck Them."

Person A: Always top of class, high honor roll and receipient of awards thoughout grade school. Graduated valedictorian in high school and Magna Cum Laude in college. Status- temp

Person B: In the words of employer, "grade point was nearly nonexistent" and struggled with school. Barely accepted into college and took years to be accepted into program of study. Status- successful employee who has in only one year's time received high acclamation and prestige in job setting

Moral of story: GPA is of exaggerated relevance
