review of GenCon completely bashing gamers and such nerds in a manner that would make much more sense in the movie "Revenge of the Nerds". ...and? What's so great about basketball and beer? Since when did an RPG gone poorly end in riots, property damage, and death?
Though I agree that the article is a little critical and overly focused on sex, it just looks, to me, to be a magazine for a different crowd than ours. (Yes, they're apparently claiming to represent the city as a whole, but that doesn't mean that they are.) You could get something similar, I'm sure, if Gamers Monthly reviewed the Indy 500. Besides, I was always under the impression that most dorktastic darlings had a good sense of humor. ;)

I can only think that if the reviewer had ever played Car Wars, he'd be weighing the possibility that the vehicles would be much more efficient at winning the race if they had front and rear wing-mounted laser cannons. Having won a game with just such a modified formula-style vehicle, I'd have to agree with him. :)
