[Azula appears on camera, looking clearly quite disheveled. She glares with disdain down the camera, still trying to figure out if she's doing this correctly. Finally, she is satisfied that she is operating the device properly.]

I do not appreciate this. I wish to make this extremely clear, although I suppose that is quite obvious to whoever ( Read more... )

[It was only a matter of time, right? Right? One of them would eventually make their way here, but Zuko's not sure whether Azula is the better option considering how bad both father and sister equally are and how hellbent they are on ruining his life and making it so difficult.]

[Quietly growling:] I didn't say I was.

I'm telling you to leave my friends alone.

Friends? Now, Zuzu, this is almost adorable if it wasn't so awful.

Unlike you I actually know how to make real friends.

[Ouch. That stung just a little. But Azula will pretend it barely affects her.]

Yes, of course. Real friends with a bunch of dirty peasants. Wherever she is, Mother must be so proud of you.

[If you're going to play dirty, so is Azula.]

[Too bad she's the one sibling who's better at controlling her emotions, unlike him. The look on his face darkens, jaw setting.]

She would be proud to know that I fight for what I believe in and never gave up.

[No, she's not.]

[He knows she's not. But he won't push it, for now.]

You're mistaking hatred for punishment.

You know, Zuko, when Father told me to capture you and return you to the Fire Nation, he never did specify you had to be alive.

I suppose all loving Fathers would happily have their sons die.

And you think you're so special to him that he would let you live if you went and spoke out against him?

There's the difference between us, Zuko. I'm not stupid enough to speak against him.

No, but you're stupid enough to think that he wouldn't 'punish' you the same way he did me.

He would.

Yes, I'm sure you know everything about Father's thoughts. It is of no concern to me what he might do.

I might not know what he's thinking but I know enough.
