what is the best software for managing a database that includes text but is also capable of managing financial information?

Are you looking for recommendations for the database itself, or some sort of easy-to-use tool to query an existing database (like generating monthly reports)?

If you already have a database, which database is it?

What's the real world current situation, and what is the real world need? TYPE MORE WORDS!

Onyx. I have worked with a great number of database programs in the last few years. I have to say Onyx is the best, hands down. They are the easiest to integrate into any system, the most customizable, and their home office is in Bellevue (so you can always hunt the guys down who wrote it if you need to *heh ( ... )
