[ Personality ] : Jackie is a good girl. Really, she is! She's kind, caring, supportive, and all those wonderful qualities most of the nicer weapons exhibit. Even when Kim, her meister and friend for several years, is scared and hiding from Shibusen, Jackie keeps up her optimistic attitude and continues to try to assure her that everything will be okay, and that she'll be there to help her. But she's not all super sweet; she's incredibly stubborn, and refuses to give in when she sets her mind on something.
That brings us to Jackie's main, most obvious personality trait: loyalty. Jackie is fiercely loyal to her friends and meister, with a passion that rivals the intensity of the fire she wields. It doesn't matter if she's stuck in a castle filled to the brim with powerful witch cronies, she'll fight tooth and nail to save Kim. Even when her mind is magically manipulated to bring her morals down, and thus make her more useful to Arachnophobia, that loyalty is something that doesn't change.
So! An optimistic, loyal, somewhat popular girl. She must be totally confident in herself, right? NOPE, WRONG. Well, kind of. She is confident in her abilities and the areas it really counts, but she's not exactly true to her feelings. She vehemently denies - both to herself and to others - that her feelings for her meister are anything but strictly platonic. This is a complete and utter lie, for the record. She's gayer than a rainbow for Kim.
In contrast to her stubbornness, she's also kind of a pushover. Despite the growing futility of Tsugumi and her meisters' attempts to partner her and Kim up, Jackie just goes along with it and refuses to put her foot down until it seems completely hopeless. But at least things turned out well in the end!
[ Strengths/Weaknesses ]:
+ Demon Lantern. She can transform herself into a lantern, and while this sounds kind of boring, it should be noted that she works like a goddamn flamethrower. Her meister can also use offensively like a flail, and when combined with her fire power, an exploding flail. In her weapon form, she can also be ridden around like a broomstick and wow that sounded awkward.
+ Jackie is one of many (but not all) Weapons who can partially transform; she can turn either arm, from the elbow-down, into her default lantern form, able to attack with her flames without need of a meister.
+ Due to her friendly attitude, it's likely that she's not a weapon that only select people could wield. She can team up with another person in a pinch, and while a non-Meister won't be able to bring out more of her abilities, she'll definitely be of use to them.
- Pushover. She went along with Tsugumi, Anya, and Meme's shenanigans for an entire chapter. Girl can't say no.
- Sometimes loses control of her powers. Girl set her hair on fire when she got flustered enough.
[ Other Important Facts ] : Since she produces her own fire (both in her weapon form and in her human form; in one scene, flames can be seen as she struggles against several captors, and in another, the top of her head lights on fire when she's too embarrassed), and thus controls it internally, it can be assumed that she has a higher-than-normal body temperature. Nothing that would be uncomfortable to anyone around her, but it would be noticeable to those standing extremely close to her. Apparently, she can also use her fire abilities for more mundane things as well, like cooking.
