The cancer cell analogy is a good one, but if you consider Americans to be a collection of cancer cells, then China could be thought of as the biological equivalent of one giant cancer cell. China does not seek to act in balance with the rest of the world, but only in balance with itself.

Somehow picturing this huge cell with its mitochondria as a bunch of Chinese people just really amues me right now. ;-) Good note.

I didn't picture them as mitochondria, but considering the workhorse motif that might actually work.
