Dino's attire isn't one you'd normally associate with a mafia boss, usually wearing graphic t-shirts and cargo pants to go with his oversized green coat, the hood lined in black fur. While he can clean himself up and wear a suit from time to time, his appearance remains mostly the same as well. Shaggy blonde hair to the nape of his neck, brown eyes and his left side covered in tattoos from shoulder to wrist remained a constant no matter the outfit for the 22 year old.
Personality: At first glance, Dino seems like a calm and laidback person. Rather than being the person who rushes into a fight, he would be the negotiator, patient and kind. This comes from his devoted leadership skills of being the boss of his family. He is in fact, so devoted to his position, that he becomes an absolute klutz when they're not around. This usually ends up with him falling down the stairs or hitting people by accident with his whip. To prevent this, he usually has his right hand man Romario nearby. Overall, he is a kindhearted man who cares about the people around him.
History:
Dino was originally a clumsy teenager, distantly related to a Mafia family by the name of Cavallone. He always had a tendency to be extremely clumsy, though his kind nature and honesty kept him out of too much trouble and instead treated as the comedy relief. While these normal days continued, the Cavallone family began to collapse into financial ruin and status due to the previous generation's boss. Needing a new boss to bring the family out of the shambles it had become, the Vongola hitman Reborn was sent out to find and train a suitable heir to become the tenth boss of the affiliate family. After searching out the other candidates, he went after the most suitable for the job; Dino.
At first, Dino wanted to be nowhere near the position of Mafia boss. In fact he wanted nothing to do with the Mafia at all, just wanted to be an average teenager. But Reborn was determined to train him, and so slowly but surely he began his training. During this, he ended up going to a school for children who were part of the Mafia in some way, and subsequently met Superbi Squalo and Xanxus who were in the same school. Dino continued to train until the fateful day came, and he was outnumbered by a large number of people from another family. Deciding to defend those of his own family who had fallen, Dino had proved his loyalty and earned his name, the 'Bucking Horse,' along with his whip and his pet turtle Enzio. He also gained a loyal group of men willing to fight and protect him, acknowledging him as their new boss.
As the boss of a fallen family, Dino had a lot of work to ahead of him to do, and he did it above and beyond all expectations. From fixing and reestablishing all finances of the family, to gaining over 5000 family members, Dino's hard work brought his family to become the 3rd largest and most influential of all the mafia families. Dino himself is ranked the number one mafia member who cares about the welfare of others. The members of his family who join him are loyal and devoted, and would do anything for their boss.
As he continued to learn even more things from his tutor, Reborn informed him that he had to go train another, the potential tenth boss of the Vongola, Sawada Tsunayoshi. Dino hated to see him go, as he felt he could have learned even more from the pint sized hitman.
Dino finally meets Tsuna in the beginning stages of his training. He notices how similar Tsuna is handling the whole thing compared to when he had done the same several years ago. He becomes protective of Tsuna then, seeing him as his younger brother and offering to be his guide, even sharing horror stories about his training days with Reborn. However, even though many years has passed, Dino is still a klutz and thus almost wrecks Tsuna's house by being careless. He periodically stops in to check on Tsuna from time to time, from testing his first two family members, Yamamoto Takeshi and Gokudera Hayato, to trying to help train Tsuna himself with disastrous results.
Dino shows up again as Squalo attacks Tsuna and Basil in an attempt to claim the Vongola rings, the legitimate proof of being part of the family, for his boss Xanxus and the other members of the Varia. He makes off with the box, only to reveal that he had stolen copies, and Dino's arrival reveals him to be the deliverer of the true Vongola rings. He then informs Tsuna that a battle of succession has begun, between Tsuna and his six guardians and Xanxus and his six chosen members of the Varia, including Squalo. He also informs Tsuna that he cannot fight with them, as the Varia are a part of the Vongola and as a member of an allied family he is not allowed. Instead he chooses to help out by being a tutor like Reborn, choosing Hibari Kyouya as his pupil.
He attempts to explain the issue to Hibari, while Hibari on the other hand only wants to fight, not caring about any rings or rules. By traveling around to several different places and nonstop training, Dino finally has Hibari prepared for his time to fight. He also warns Yamamoto about Squalo's fighting style, having experienced how he fights from his time in school, and how to possibly defeat him. When Squalo is defeated at the end of the battle, he saves him and takes him to the hospital to get better, and possibly get information about the battles and Xanxus himself. He doesn't find out anything until the final battle, which Dino takes him to see.
Not too long after the victory and the rings going to Tsuna and his guardians, Dino presumably heads back to Italy, which is where he comes in.
