so i officially hate high school now. it's kind of sad because i used to like it a lot. and i don't mean i just hate school. it's the whole high school mentality. blah... when did i become a cynic?
No offense, but I love high school. Personally, I enjoy the simplicity. I don't think that you should be in such a rush to grow up and move on. I mean granted high school can be a little ridiculous at times, but I would rather have to worry about these stupid petty things, than whether or not I will have enough money to have a place to live and whether or not I will be spending the rest of my life alone and stuff like that. If you think about it, life only gets harder, with much more challenging things such as learning how to live on your own, finding a job, finding a significant other, starting a family, and trying to make money in order to pay for a house, car, food, and other necessities. Right now, in high school, for the most part, all we have to worry about is doing some homework and just having a good time. Just have fun and make the most of it. Live it up chica!
i understand where you're coming from. but for me, even though the "real world" is rough, at least it's real. i know that i am going to meet fake people everywhere i go, but i feel like in high school, they have a monopoly. i don't think anything is simple, not even high school.. i'm not in a rush to grow up at all. i don't want to hate high school but i have grown out of it unintentionally so i'm ready to move on.

i HAAAAATTTTTEEEEDDDD high school sooooo much right around now when i was a senior also. but trust me.. the last month or two months of school was the best time in my whole life. the whole class kinda bonded with each other, we just had fun instead of worrying about colleges and grades and stuff. the teachers slack off after a while, you are actually treated like a person instead of an inmate. plus with all the time your not doing homework, that leave plenty of time to go to the beach after school when the weather's better. and after your all done with classes, going back and being free while everyone else is still slaving away is the best feeling in the world. all the senior activities are really fun and you get to have to the whole day to get ready on prom day. trust me, you'll like it in a little while. i'm sitting in foundations of math for elementary teachers class the other day and i was just thinking about my last month of school and how great it was. stoopid college. i wanna go back to senior year. so enjoy it while

I agree with heather in that High school / adolescence is a time where we have a lot of leeway with our lives, and most of us recieve without giving (we're dependant on our parents). it's also more socially acceptable for us to express ourselves and act silly and have a good time. School is also one of the best social situations in our life. Not only does being forced to go school cause an exposure to a great diversity of people, but once you find the people you like to be friends with, they all live in the same town basically
