I made samosas today.  According to food network, they're of Indian orgin- cause when I typed in Indian food, this was one of the recipes that I got.  Really, I was looking for recipes similar to the foods that Chris and I get when we go to our favorite Indian food restaurant.  No luck.

They look delicious! Although I've never had Indian food before (thinks of Ben Stiller in Along Came Polly). That salad had too much fiber! lol

samosas really are not spicy at all.
they're filled with mashed potatoes, which is pretty neutral.

and you decide how much cayenne you want to put in. so really, it's a matter of taste.

the indian food that chris and I get is mostly not very spicy as in hot. however, they do use a lot of spices, so I find the food to have very complex flavors.

does that make sense? I could never be a food critique. how do you describe what something tastes like?

yeah, I guess they are sort of like a savory empanada.
the only empanadas that I've ever had are sweet.

and the dough isn't as flaky...cause there's no fat added. :(
