even though i haven't had any completely unfair situations like the frosh-soph example above happen to me, i know where youre coming from because i've considered quitting track so many times. crosby does whatever he wants with the meet order so i never end up running with people who can challenge me and make me better, just with random other kids who i always beat but never get any satisfaction out of it because theyre not, no offense, competition. if i thought about it longer, i'd see that there aren't that many reasons to do track- i always get injured, i have way too much on my plate anyways.. but i still love to run, and i think tracks the only way i can actually be committed to running during the school year. it definitely sucks now putting so much work into something and having it seemingly not pay off, but just think about eventually it will, they'll put you in the mile and you'll beast it, babcock will feel like a fool, and stay there forever winning it and then win states and this lj entry will just be a funny story you tell

long but awsome!!! I love to run too. Do you ever feel like the team takes fun out of it though? Maybe its just with babcock haha. I like to run because it gets my mind off things and to stay in shape (and talk to people haha) but sometimes the pressures of the team start to take that away. Oh well.
Don't worry about it, it ususally takes awhile. Took me half the season last year to get the coach to trust me, after that i got to start for the rest of the season and all of this year. Hopefully things will get better.
