I was physically at NEFFA over the weekend, but I wasn't there emotionally. I did a handful of dances (including my alter ego's ECD session and the medleys, of course!), but most of the time I hid and thought about other stuff ( Read more... )

Also, hi. :) Maybe if I am occasionally around LJ I will not be so out-of-touch... ::went to read ursule's journal:: I sympathize with the need to vent, but I do hope the class (if not the move) turns out okay in the end.

I think it bugs me because I could teach next semester's lineup of classes at a community college or even a private high school closer to family and friends. But I should have access to students to work with, this way.

(Belatedly...)

Being far away from family and friends is hard -- I feel my decision to seek retreat is wise, but I feel very sad when I think about leaving my networks and friends and connections here in Philly... Or anytime I say goodbye to a parent, after a visit... I'm sorry it's this way.
