“Yeeees! Two goals to zero!”

Novak jumped off the couch and celebrated A.C Milan’s second goal with a huge roar and a fist pump. The football team that he supported with all his heart was playing well today and he couldn’t be any happier. He had his favorite Serbian dish right in front of him - he had finally succeeded in cooking it after giving his poor boyfriend two tummy aches - and he was at his place in Monte Carlo, watching a great game. The only thing that was missing from his perfect evening was his boyfriend Andy Murray. The Scot had gone home to see his grandparents and hadn’t returned yet while Novak had arrived in Monaco this morning.

‘I hope he brings something fancy for our tree.’

Glancing over at the Christmas tree that proudly stood next to the TV, Novak wished that time would fly and Andy would be home already. He had talked to him on the phone after lunch but he missed seeing his little smiles and putting his hands in that incredibly sexy hair when they kissed.

‘Andy…’

As the TV showed some half-time ads, Novak closed his eyes and thought about how they had become more than just friends. This spring, the Scot had asked if he could crash at his place during the Monte Carlo tournament, claiming that he hadn’t been fast enough to book any of the good flats. Novak had told him that he knew a house owner who lived close to the tennis club and that she wouldn’t mind letting him stay since she would be out of town for a while. Andy had insisted that he wouldn’t be comfortable at a girl’s place and had promised him that he would be a nice guest.

The Serb had had no particular objection since he had a guest room and had welcomed him to the house. Of course, he hadn’t seen it coming when he had been kissed by his friend when the Scot had lost to Rafael in the semis and got lots and lots of love in bed when he himself had lost to the Spaniard in the final.

‘Ah, good old times. Who knew that he could be so powerful and gentle at the same time?’

Novak opened his eyes at the sound of his cell phone telling him that he had received a text message.

‘I hope it’s Andy.’

He grabbed his phone and yes, it was Andy. It seemed that his boyfriend had just twittered.

Rob is the best and I love him very much. - about 2 minutes ago from TwitterBerry

Novak frowned. He checked if it was really from Andy. Unfortunately, it was.

‘What? Who’s Rob?’

Then a second later, waves of jealousy hit him hard as he read the text over and over again.

“He loves him very much?! Ha!”

He furiously searched through his memory to pinpoint the Rob in question. As far as he could remember, there wasn’t any Rob on Andy’s team nor did the Scot had any close friends named Rob.

“Who is Rob?” Novak raised his voice but there was nobody in the house to answer his question.

‘It can’t be Robby Ginepri, right?’

The Serb rubbed his chin, trying to think of more Robs.

‘Robert Kendrick, Robin Soderling, Tommy Robredo… Robbie Koenig.’

He laughed at his own process of thoughts. It surely couldn’t be a tennis player or anyone directly related to the sport.

‘Who is he then?’

The second half of the game was on but the football fan wasn’t interested anymore. He had a serious issue at hand; finding Rob.

‘Oh, wait. I have an idea.’

The world number three left the living room and quickly headed to the study. He was positive that Andy had left his scheduler behind.

‘Here it is. Okay… Let’s see if there’s any Rob here.’

He grabbed a chair and fumbled through the address pages. A few names starting with R caught his attention but none of them had the letters ‘o’ and ‘b’ to follow.

‘I’m sure he was joking or something. It can’t be anybody serious.’

He wasn’t sure why it still stung to think about the tweet when he knew that he was the only occupant of Andy’s heart.

‘Perhaps it’s one of his favorite game characters.’

Novak wasn’t into video games that much but Andy was like any other twenty-two year old who liked to spend a lot of time in front of his beloved PlayStation.

‘Or… It could be that chef from that sushi place in Scotland. He does order an insane amount of sushi. By the way, I’ve always thought that he was too kind to Andy. Or maybe it’s that new mailman he talked about. I mean, who talks about mailmen to your boyfriend? Very suspicious. Or it could be that vampire from that ‘Twilight’ series. Andy can be such a girl sometimes.’

He put the scheduler back in its original place inside the first drawer of the desk and went out to the living room. The other team had scored a goal but his team was still winning, which gave him more time to ponder on the matter.

‘But he’s never made a love declaration like that about me.’

Novak knew better than anyone that the Scot couldn’t possibly declare his love to another male in public but he sometimes wished that the world would get to see who was lucky enough to date the special Scot. He had never seen anyone kinder and more thoughtful than Andy and he kept falling in love with the man over and over again.

‘He could’ve used a secret nickname or something. Nobody would’ve found out.’

Still sulking about the unfair treatment in the world of twitter, he opened his cell phone to call Andy and ask him about it. It wasn’t like him to sit in the middle of an empty house and drive himself crazy with horrible theories running inside his head. The solution to his misery could be simple; he would ask the Scot, get a casual yet very logical and understandable answer, wish him goodnight and hang up.

“Hello?”

Andy answered after three rings and despite whatever was going through his mind, it was nice to hear the familiar voice.

“Hi, Andy. It’s me.”

“Yeah, I know it’s you. I checked the number before picking it up.”

‘Ouch. No need to give me a cold shoulder like that.’ Novak was starting to hate Rob when he didn’t even have a clue about who he could possibly be.

“What’s up, Nole? We talked not too long ago. It’s only been a couple of hours, I think.”

“I’m your boyfriend and I have the right to call you whenever I want. And, it’s your right not to pick up the phone if you don’t want to talk to me.”

The Serb realized what he had just said and tried to take it back. “Urgh… Sorry, Andy. I didn’t mean to say it that way.”

“It’s fine. What’s going on? Tell me. I want to hear it.”

It was that amazingly kind and soothing Andy again. Novak felt powerless under the voice that made him dream and started talking.

“Bwahaha…”

Novak could feel Andy move away from the phone, probably having felt the need to bend forward while he laughed like a maniac.

“Andy, this is not funny. I want answers, not laughs.” He put on his most stern voice but Andy was too busy trying to catch his breath.

“So your best guess is the mailman and a game character? Jesus, Nole. You have no idea how much I want to kiss you right now.”

“Well, I’m glad you’re not here because I’d prefer to punch you right now.”

Novak growled in frustration while Andy wiped off the last remnants of his laughter.

“Hey, I’ll let you know the answer when you give me a really long welcome back kiss tomorrow. How does that sound?”

The Serb snorted. “Why would I even kiss you when I said that I’d very much like to punch you. Whoever Rob is, I’m hurt!”

The Scot bit his lips not to burst into laughter. Novak rarely got jealous but when he did, it was so much fun.

“Why don’t you just tell me who the heck he is so I can go sleep peacefully and you can come back without having to worry about potential bombs attached to the front door?”

“You’re too sweet to do such a thing, Nole.”

Apparently, Andy didn’t buy the threat.

“Why are you torturing me, Andy? I’m already miserable without you around.” Novak changed strategies and let out a sound that resembled that of a wounded deer.

“I’m not torturing you, pet.”

“Oh! I get it! It’s not a person, right? Ah, I should’ve known that you wouldn’t break my heart like that.”

“So you think Rob is an object?” The Scot became even more amused.

“Yeah. It must be your new bed or are you calling those briefs I gave you Rob?”

“Ahaha, you can’t be serious.”

“What? I thought you loved those briefs! They look fantastic on you.”

“Don’t get me wrong. I do love them but I’m not really the type to twitter about briefs in the middle of an evening.”

Novak almost forgot that he was supposed to be mad and urged his brain to work harder.

“Then is it your… thing? You know how some guys like to give it a name. And if that’s the case, I think I should agree with you.”

The Serb heard his boyfriend drop the phone as roars of laughter crushed his pride.

‘Fair enough. I always found those guys creepy anyway. Glad to know Andy’s not one of them.’

After muttering a ‘goodnight’ to the dropped phone, Novak hung up and went to bed.

The next day…

Andy was back home, well, in his second home that he shared with Novak. Technically, he hadn’t gone inside the house yet; he was standing in front of it with a stick in his hand.

‘I’m sure he was joking or something.’

He carefully poked the handle of the front door and got ready to jump back in case anything suspicious happened. He thought about poking it once more but saw that some of the neighbors were staring at him in a weird manner.

“Haha, hello there.”

Andy smiled lightly and grabbed the door knob. He said a little prayer and put his keys to work.

“Hey, pet. I’m home.”

He didn’t have to look far to find his boyfriend. The Serb was sitting on the couch, reading a book.

“Hey, Rob’s special someone.”

Novak knew that he was acting like a dramatic teenager and it really wasn’t in him to get this jealous about a stupid tweet that probably didn’t mean anything, but the long separation from his boyfriend while the Scot had gotten injured was taking its toll on him. He had missed Andy so much and even the slightest thing that stood between them could impossibly annoy him at this point.

“Nole, come here and give me that kiss I asked for. Then, you’ll get your answer, so you see it’s a win-win situation.”

Novak looked at the world number four as if he had gone mad.

“I’m not in the mood to kiss. Go kiss Rob.”

Andy put down his bags on the floor and went to join his pouty boyfriend on the couch.

“What are you reading?”

“It’s called ‘How to find Rob.’”

Andy snatched away the book and got a very scary look in return.

“Sorry, Nole. No more games. One kiss and I’ll tell you everything about Rob. Please? I really need a kiss from you.”

Novak thought about the offer. He hadn’t spent the most pleasant night thanks to a certain Scot and a Rob, but he didn’t want to waste time or energy on something so trivial when Andy was finally back home.

“Fine. One kiss.”

The two lips met without any awkwardness despite the current situation. Novak found himself melting like he usually did and Andy couldn’t think of anything that could make him more content.

As much as the Scot wanted to carry on with the kiss, he didn’t protest when Novak pulled back rather soon.

“So I’m asking for the last time. Who is Rob?”

Andy quickly kissed his boyfriend on the cheek before answering, “Rob is… Well, he is… You know, he is…”

“Hey!” Novak slapped him on the forearm. “You don’t get to enjoy this anymore. Spit it out already!”

“Ouch, I was just taking a deep breath before I reveal such a huge secret. Ouch! Stop hitting me at the same spot!”

Andy rubbed his arm and finally gave his attacker the answer. “Rob is the guy who runs my website.”

“Full name?” Novak had his hands on his waist.

“Rob Stewart.”

“We’ll see if that’s true.” Novak believed him but he added anyway. He didn’t want Andy to think that he was forgiven so easily.

“It might help you to find out the truth if I told you that I got a fresh pair of briefs. I’ve never worn such tight ones and I’m wearing them right now.”

Novak shivered at the wonderful mental image and thought that it might be all right to forgive him so easily. After all, you live your life only once. No time to waste.

“Well, what are you waiting for? Get out of those jeans already.”

“Yes, sir.” Andy answered playfully and slowly headed to the bedroom, taking his time to undress himself.

“You’re going to have to do many things tonight.”

Novak followed him to their nest and Andy nodded in agreement.

“That was what I was hoping for.”
