Hello, lj people!! It's been forever! Basically, my life blew up early this summer, though it's slowly coming back together and I'm not here to talk about that, but just to post some pics of some cookies I made in early August
( Read more... )
AW! I'm glad you like them--I am looking forward to trying to do Ohno again and to make his pants more sparkly. I'll be sure to post pictures when I do ^_^
And I'm still in awe of your sparkly bag, so we can be amazing together ^_^v
You know what the world needs? a weeklong Arashi craftiness retreat ^_^v And then we could swap all of our creations ^_^v
I really love the lacing on Sho's outfit. It just is so pretty!
And this is totally one of my favorite costumes--I usually feel that after doing a cookie set, but honestly, it's actually an attractive sharp set--ridiculous, yes, but it also works visually as a cool outfit set.
Though I wouldn't wear it on the street, I guess, but you know what I mean ^^;
I'm glad I've properly communicated the appropriate response to The Pants. Even in cookie form, fascinating.
I think that a bolo tie has to be a shoestring passed through a smallish pewter replica of a bovine skull, right? So Jun's tie would more accurately be called a floppy ribbon. (I think really, 'string bow tie'?)
I actually was wearing one of the polishes you sent me today--the translucent yellow with iridescent glitter, over a pale sunshiney matte yellow! It was really cute! I'll show you the pics sometime.
For tomorrow, though it's a green creme with green glitter--since we're doing Sir Gawain and the Green Knight in my survey, it seemed only right ^^;
Hmmm Gawain and the Green Knight ... I think I have Tolkien's version.
Green with green glitter yaaay green .. always always reminds me of Hakkai and then the brain does things and then now it's Aiba and then the brain does more things in like an Au-situ where Aiba is an incarnation of Hakkai and Sho is definitely pervy Gojyo in some deep deep part of my soul where Goujun is Jun (or other way around ... the Jun part is the same Kanji after all) of course a snerky Nino totally fits a snerky Sanzo but of course this leaves Ohno in a kindd of non-space because no matter how twisted my brain and the deep dark corners of my soul are Ohno could never be Goku or other way round ... Ohno is just Ohno! Heeee!) Well yes twisted, dark, maybe sleep deprived and lord knows what else...
And and *HUGS* it's always good to see you. Love you.
You are such a cookie making masochist, but what fantastic results! There's something so Aiba-ish about marching band Aiba with his manpris (and yes, I love his new Friendship hair.)
The details on Sho's costume are insane. Suddenly his outfit looks quite kinky.
I could stare at Nino's pants forever. My life in a sentence.
You have an "action" figure collection? And a nail polish collection? This I need to see. (I suddenly have an image of a tiny GI Joe hugging a bottle of ruby red nail polish.)
That's what I was thinking, too! There's something about all the lacing plus the red/black color scheme and the fingerless gloves that . . . just makes that outfit kind of sinfully awesome!
And I make fun of Aiba's manpris (because honestly they're not my thing), but they actually work well on the cookie cutter shape, so I won't complain too hard. The only real problem with them was that that red icing took on this weird soft texture that worried me, had they survived long enough to ship out. Ohno's red shirt had the same issue, to the point that I actually mixed up a new batch for the lacing on Sho and the ruffles down the button placket on Ohno, just to make sure it came out ok and intact.
Oooh, that action figure collection sounds interesting. I think the closest thing I've got is an Uhura doll with her own Federation symbol stand.XD
300+!! And how awesome is it that you color-coordinate for your lesson theme! I looove nail polish and often treat myself to them but I'm terrible about sitting down and putting it on. I end up with drawers full of old, mostly full bottles.
It's possible I'm a bit obsessive I think with fangirls this is a given. Along with the collecting tendencies.

Thank you for the compliment! Though honestly, I'm sort of making it up as I go--I have no idea what a class would look like ^^;
