OOOOOOOH! I haven't seen any of the Bond movies with the new actor, but you're definitely tempting me. I wonder who I could get to go with me . . .

Hee! It's entirely possible procrastination and manic sleeplessness will lead to actual posts. but yeah, basically have just under 8 weeks to finish it, also including prepping tenure file, end of the semester grading, a wedding of a friend and holidays O__o

But it's such a load off my mind, seriously.

*dances in confetti*

Wow! That's amazing news! Are you a professor or a PhD student? I just ask because you said academic press although I know academic press isn't only limited to the above two.

And just curious...what's the book about?

Thanks! I'm an Assistant Professor of English literature :) So this was my tenure book. Hopefully, all will move quickly enough for it to get me tenure ^^; I'm a year to formal tenure review, so this is cutting it a bit close ^^;

But the book is about the ways that 14th and 15th century English romances represent mothers and their biological influence on their children, as well as the biological, legal, political and religious interpretations of maternity at the time. Whew, that's a mouthful ^^;

That's the long answer. Short answer; demon cannibal babies :DDD

OMG YEA!!! °。*:★*。☆゜ヾ(^∇^)/`●~☆⌒.゜。* I cannot imagine the stress and pressure one has to undergo when working on a book, but omg, so happy for you! Seriously now, go revel in glitter and bad costumes for the rest of the holiday break (yes- even during any classes you may have Mon-Wed XD).

Hee! I want to! BUT SO MUCH WRITING AND GRADING. T__T I can have it on in the background, though--perhaps it shall transfer happy into the book. And my students can only benefit from concerts being on in the background while I grade, right?

It's been sooooooooo stressful waiting to hear. Though they can still reject it after they have the full manuscript, it's fairly unlikely I think. *crosses fingers for luck*

Certainly, it should look good for 5th year tenure review \o/ Baby steps!

*flails*
