I would add "If you've just caused a cyclist to fall off their bike rather than crash into you as a consequence of ignoring one of the other guidelines, why not check they are alright or be otherwise polite to them, rather than staring at them like they are something the cat brought in and then walking off."

Added, but I just flatten 'em. I've got a fairly solid bike and I'm a fairly solid chap, and if it's their fault, sod 'em.

I kind of thought that but my reactions had kicked in already and sent me straight over the handlebars. Annoying and painful as that was, the pedestrian in question's utterly blank reaction was much more infuriating.

And as for the ped's reactions, sadly it does not surprise me. Most people are cattle.

When walking, do you hate cyclists who stick to the cycle paths (where there are any) and get annoyed at pedestrians who refuse to use the (shorter, more scenic) pavements?

Have you tried yelling at the pedestrians? It always used to work for me. Not so much with the cars though.

Yelling at them just turns them into rabbits-in-headlights. Which is as rubbish as doing whatever they were doing.
