Letting Go

I just let go of someone who was until now more important than anything else in my life, and guess what I'm okay. For how much time I spent thinking about the "us" that wasn't meant to be, I'm happy just for it to be over. How can any time you've spent alive be a waste? Don't you see, it's not a waste because you didn't suceed, because you didn't get the girl, because you didn't get the grade. It was worth it because you were alive and you were trying, perhaps struggling, to suceed. No you didn't win, but it's not about the outcome, my dear, it's about the journey. What would a good book be if life was meerly about what your sucesses? It would be nothing. A tale can be written without an ending, but there is no way to end if there exist no tale. You can't always think in the manners of practicality, because love isn't practical, niether is happiness, in fact, emotions in general are foolish things. But a life without them? Is that even a life at all? The truest of heros must suffer deffeat, that's what makes them heros-they got through, maybe they didn't suceed, but they got through the trial, isn't that a sucess enough ( ... )

the thing is, there is no goal worth fighting for that while you strive for it, you can't be happy.

Most of our lives are compiled of us striving for something,
and only a small portion of our lives is getting the something.

Enjoy the journey, enjoy your present life.
if you're not enjoying it,
change how you're living.
your life is all you have.
