I've had it!
No I'm not what you might call a power user of the old mobile. I expect it to a) look pretty b) ring and c) text message.
Currently, I am fooling around with this model. And I can see you referring to my checklist now. Yes, you're thinking, I suppose it could be classified as pretty (it's the flip that does it and you know it), and a phone that shiny certainly should be able to receive calls and text messages.
And in theory, you're right. Only, for some reason known only to itself, it. doesn't. ring. all the time. Sometimes it rings. Whenever I try to check it, it rings. But the fact remains the my list of missed calls grows longer by the day. And it doesn't display when you miss a call. Or at least, when it rings, and you miss a call, it tells you. When it doesn't ring and you therefore miss a call, instead of telling you it just sneakily adds the call to your missed calls list. WITHOUT TELLING YOU. So sooner or later, you miss a call that was actually ringing, go to see who it was, and find you missed 5 calls that morning. Or rather, this morning.
It does the same thing with text messages, only it's less annoying, because they still show up on your screen. It just doesn't beep.
Also, people keep telling me they get my voicemail, but I DON'T HAVE VOICEMAIL because I HATE IT.
