After a week of heavy research, I can say with complete certainty that I prefer the Scissor Sisters to the Pixies. I may even prefer them to Franz Ferdinand.

To be honest, I didn't really like Teenage Fanclub that much, but I think that was largely because I wasn't really familiar with any of their music beforehand.

I don't really know how to describe Kings of Leon, I suppose they're like, southern rock or something... they have some sample tracks up on their website, which is flas based, so I can't link directly to them. It's under audio/visual though (shockingly!).

Haha. I'll go check them out sometime. The reason I ask about Teenage Fanclub is, I really, really like ONE of their songs. And I read this thing by Nick Hornby extolling the virtues of another of their songs, but I've never really got into that other song. And I got one of their albums out of the library, but nothing struck me except that one song I really like ('Ain't that enough?')

So... yeah, I suppose I wanted to know if they were anything special!
