Oh, ack. The Irish Times is eeeeeevil during exam periods, it really is. That maths paper sounds horrendous. Sheeesh, you'd think they'd focus on getting more people doing higher maths instead of picking on the ones that do.

(On the plus side, they *will* reassess the marking scheme if everyone has done dreadfully on a particular question. Because they are in love with their quotas.)

While the constant stream of suggestion of thing that will be better next year is sort of annoying, it is reassuring at the same time to know that at least I wasn't alone in finding it a hideous paper! I hear the ASTI are getting involved now as well. I don't think I've heard of that happening before.

So yeah, it's annoying as poo, but I'd say it's better to be me than to be the guy who wrote it. Yep, wouldn't like to be in his shoes right now... *wanders off rubbing hands together sinisterly*

You know, in some ways I'm glad I didn't have to take the Leaving Certs.

You'll be fine lovely, you're smart and pretty and the like. The Exam boards are stupid. They always are. But somehow I like the Irish system more than the SATs (you know, it sucks when, out of your friends, you're the one with the lowest score, and your boyfriend's room-mate got a score of 1560.)

Love you, you'll be fine darling.

Yay for the good wishes and stuff, but I've taken the SATs and I have to say, the don't compare at all to the Leaving Cert. They're not even in the same realm.

I agree though, Leaving Certs suck (after hearing you and Soph talk). SATs were easy for you because you blow me out of the water with your smartness. Seriously.

You and your geek-camp SAT-takings. ;)
