I am breaking my self-imposed live journal silence to appeal to all of you.

I really, really need a decent ID. As in, one that says I'm 18. At the moment, I've just been relying on a really dodge USIT and people's goodwill to get what I want, but we all know my luck will change some day soon ( Read more... )

I had a look at them, but the thing is, they don't seem to have any samples online or anything, and they say they don't imitate any cards that currently exist. Which means, essentially, I will have a piece of plastic that says I'm 18. However, if I'm desperate, I might just send off the €25 and see what happens. It's kind of a last resort though.

I went the USIT way for a short period of time, then used a friend's passport (after she got her garda age card, which she'd use, and we'd leave a quarter of an hour between our going-ins). That probably doesn't help much though.

I was lucky, as I always looked a bit older, plus people of age would buy me drinks. Dodgier when going to clubs, though. They often didn't ask for ID, but that was in the dark ages (the '70s). Everything's much stricter now.

See, that's exactly the situation I'm in at the moment - I don't have ID because I don't particularly need it. But I'll be going to a club in a few weeks that is notoriously tough on ID, and I don't want to miss out on the evening. Which means I have to get ID by hook or by crook =P

Dude, e-mail me! Never use livejournal anymore except as a desperate last resort. Seriously, the world is just too small and friends only is sucky. E-mail is the way of the future. Talk soon, Ash.
