Oh My God...College!

It's almost the end of junior year and I really haven't done much about colleges.  I mean, I look at college site and collegeboard.com and stuff when I'm bored, but I'm nowhere.  Plus my grades this year are the worst they have ever been.  Right now I think my GPA is a 3.2.  My curriculars are really good though, between Future Business Leaders of ( Read more... )

Okay, as someone who is on her way to college soonish and (luckily) past this stage of college search, let me give you some advice. At this point, try not to look too hard at price. There's always the chance for aid or scholarships, and believe it or not, private schools can be just as generous, if not more generous than public schools. So don't let it deter you yet. Plus, applying to a few places can't hurt you because some schools might be more willing to up the anty if they see you're a much wanted person.

If you think you can do well in a city than I say go for it. You're going to be able to make more contacts and branch out into different (resume building) activities that small towns just can't offer.
