The weekend was so very welcome right now.

After the last couple of days, a quiet day felt like just what she should be having. It had taken the best part of yesterday to get rid of the glitter still clinging to her, and she had been lying low, just in case. Yes, Angela could lie low. She just didn't like it all that much

"You're such a girl," Hannibal said, slipping inside from a jog around the island. Cooler weather was so much better for that sort of thing.

"Aw, thank you. I'm glad you noticed," she teased. Hey, she liked it that way. A whole lot.

So did he for that matter, even if he was open to the other forms the island occasionally slipped her into.

"After all this time, it's pretty easy for me to pick up on now," he said, kicking his shoes off and under his desk. "All that education I'm getting is helpful."

"And they say our school system is lacking," she joked, finishing off her left hand and holding it up to check she hadn't missed any spots.

When she decided she hadn't, she held it up for him to see. "Call this 'making sure the island remembers it'." It wasn't vibrantly pink or anything, just... enough to add a little something.
